So, i know i just asked about washing blankets... but i went to put them in the washer when i came to putting in the detergant. i saw a few different soaps but have no idea what to use. here is what i have: Tide w/ "a touch of downy", Ultra Cling Free, and some other blue one wit no label. im going for the Tide because ive never heard of the cling free one and i dont really even know if that blue stuff is soap. i just dont want to mess anything up. help please?

That blue stuff is good on whiting your whites.

Tide w/a touch of downy is your best bet.

When I have solid white clothes or white sheets to be washed I personally would use the whitening product w/ Tide.

This way I how that they are as white as they can be.

When drying anything, use a clothesline as much as possible.
The sun will whiten them even more.

Use the Tide to wash.

The blue stuff you see is fabric softener - you can add that during the rinse cycle and it keeps your clothes soft and static free.

The cling-free is the same thing as the blue stuff. That one just goes in the dryer with your clothes instead of the rinse cycle.

You only need to use ONE. Either the blue stuff or the cling free, but you don't need both.

I would use anything with enzymes such as era or tide. As for fabric softner I use dryer sheets as they are less expensive besides there are all sorts of things you can use a used dryer sheet for. Such as cleaning yr computer and tv screen, it keeps the dust off longer, can also use for other dusting purposes

Sounds like you'll do just fine. Don't sweat it. Laundry takes practice. EVERYONE makes mistakes sometimes. I'm sure YOU will make your share too. It's not a catastrophe! Just learn from them.
