Teach -- if you get a credential also.

Have you considered working for a finance firm? Bank?

Also, think about working in a library- either public or academic. There are positions of all kinds available from the processing department to working with the public in reference or at the check-out desk.

If you haven't thought about it, please consider going to library school. To work at the Reference Desk and to earn "more" money, one needs an MLS (Masters in Library Science)

Having a liberal arts degree is a great foundation for library school. It's not an "old fashioned" job- if you know computers and know how to do research, this may be the job for you.

good luck.

My b.a. is in liberal studies too. I have a teaching credential as well. I'm not sure what you can do with a bussiness emphasis however, but I know you can certainly teach elementary school.

Liberal studies! Go work for the Democrats! ;>)

LOL, just kidding. With the basic business knowledge you have an insurance agent job might be the ticket to decent $$$.

If you go to this link:

http://www.careerservices.uoguelph.ca/WEBmajors/doc/major_csahs_badm.pdf

there is a list of jobs that would be suited for someone with a BA and concentration in Business.

Also, this one is for Economics:

But don't limit yourself to these jobs... employers don't always look for specific education, but the skills you learned obtaining that education.... presentation skills, writing, critical analysis... those are the kind of things they are looking for...
