Most of us ladies are familiar with the Mommy's boy. The nice guy who will be new man for the first month do the stoken shop or vacum, then slides back into slob mode in month two, expects his girl to be mommy, cook clean do all the chores while he slobs around beer in hand watching soccer on the the sofa. When we dump them they head straight back to Mommy who seems very happy to cook cater to and clean for her darling son. Do moms create monsters? spoil sons who turn out to be lazy slobs whom no sensible woman wants in her life?

I think some women have a greater tolerance for the slob seeking the mommy figure. I know intelligent career women who cater to this type, who cook clean shop and I ask myself why? Are they recreating history replicating the martyr/long suffering mom catering to lazy dad all over again? In these day of equal opportunity and financial independence why do certain women put up with this behaviour from men? I find it puzzling, more fool them is all I can say.

Sometimes. My ex's mother use to cater to him all the time and he had a gambling habit. So she fed the habit by sending him money when ever he needed it and none of it paid a bill or fed his child.
We need to teach our young men to be responsible and hardworking and expect them to pick up after themselves and respect women. It sure helps when dad sets a good example.

LOL..yes I geuss we Moms do create monsters but mine is a differant sort my middle son is obsessive compulsive like me.Ya he wont shower unless the shower has been scrubbed, he won't drink out of a glass with out washing it let alone use a plate or silver ware for that matter. They (our children) are what they learn!!
Love your spouse and keep trying ...my hunna bear shares everything with me including house work and the sex is shared as well he's never left to do all the work!!

Some mom's are empty if they're not caring for their children (co dependant).
A slob is not a monster, just lazy.
By the way, they usually settle with a codependant woman who has no identity except for caring for a man. You're not one of them, you're lucky.

some mothers do. some girlfriends do it also. Instead of dating men they look for little boys who are just cute and good in bed. They allow them to move in with them and only know them for maybe 3 months. That is not enough time to get to know someone.

Yes. Usually moms who's husbands left them or when the husband wasn't emotionally available for them.
These mothers will still LITERALLY see their 40 year old son as innocent and a victim of that "slutty" woman or "people who take advantage of him"....

I think it is a combination of both. Mom loves to spoil Sonny and girl friend is afraid not to.
