Most Definetly!!!!! There is a HUGE rise in older adults going back to school. Especially in the night classes. It is never to late to improve your knowledge of the world. Plus, there is nothing wrong with getting something that you would be to use if something happened to your husband.

I'm a 25 year old mom that went back to school... actually, I'm still in school. I had a good job that I quit when I look the leap and went back... my parents told me I was stupid but I'm doing great, we are doing just fine and I don't regret it at all. I think you should go for it. It's never too late to go back - and the rewards of getting a higher education will only benefit you and your child in the future.
Good luck!

of course your decision is up to you.
maybe examine reasons why your friend thinks you shouldn't go and reasons why you feel you should go back to school.
and, of course, you must consider your children. no shame in being a stay-at-home mom, in fact, this is a good thing!
you may consider taking one or two courses or going part-time rather than full-time student. that way you can schedule your time to be there with your kids as well as to challenge your mind and learn in school.
education is important, but family, especially children, are more important
Good luck. :)

Now, why would your friend tell you not to go back to school? I'm going to guess that your friend did not complete college and has a low paying job. Maybe she feels threatened by you going back to school. In my mind, a good friend would support you in whatever you wanted to do.
If you want to go back to work, then back to school would be the first logical step. You won't be the only returning mom. Go for it!

Education is something noone can ever take from you. But I suggest starting slow so you can get back in the habit of studying and allow your family adjust to the time you will need to concentrate on school instead of them.

I am 28 and still trudging away in school. If you feel that you need to do it then you go and you learn, work hard and you do it. You only live once and you dont want to be in the end of your life being sorry for what you wanted to do but didn't because your friend said not to. Its really none of her concern anyway. You go for it!

Go for it!! The kids will be on their own sooner than you think and if you want a career, now is the time to prepare for it. Have a family talk and discuss sharing the chores, etc. so it will be easier on you. Best of luck!!

I think you should go to school. Education is very important in life! My aunt went to college when she was 34 years old. And my friend's grandma went to college when he was born. I guess she like 50 years old or something. I say that you go back to school. Who knows you might get a very good paying job that you like. And don't listen to your friend, and go, go, go!!!!!!!!

Go back.
It is better security for your babies if you go back.
Man, I am a 32 year old trying really hard to earn her BS degree and I do not give a darn who knows my age. Age is nothing more than a number.
Go back, kick rear and take names.
Good luck.
