This may seem off the wall, but I think the way a person looks on the outside tells you ALOT about who they are on the inside.

The old cliche, and they're not old cliches for nothing, that one must love themselves before loving others is very poignant. Loving yourself means that you, on the internal, have an internal and external plan to shape yourself according to your standards.

Some people work out, some eat healthly, some run, or walk, for the external. On the internal they may do yoga, be creative, study, read, etc... and some do it all. Taking care of yourself on the outside speaks volumes about how well you are taken care of on the inside.

So while I do think beauty initiates internally, it's residual effects spill to the outside where the world gets to glimpse who you really are.

I agree but yours is a great big question. On a Freudian like basis (I think) we pick who we find attractive by how good a parent they would make for our offspring. Valid? I don't know. but it's interesting to think about....
