Well, for one thing, P2P stands for PEER TO PEER. Whether you're downloading through the gnutella network (Limewire, Bearshare, etc.), or via bit torrent, you're receiving your data from other users. Thus, the speed with which you receive the data is as dependent on other people as it is on you. The fewer sources, the longer it'll take. The slower their connection(s), the longer it'll take. The more simultaneous uploads/downloads they've got going on, the longer it'll take. By the same token, the more files you're downloading/uploading at once, the longer everything will take.
By the way, were you aware that you're asking advice about an illegal activity? That's a really smart thing to do in a public forum. Just thought I'd mention that.

From the normal limewire: Go to Programs and type: Limewire Pro
and download the new version. It's best for Turbo Charged download speeds. If you need anymore help, Let me know.

There is no way out. Only if you are lucky and more hosts are there to share by keeping their internet opened youwill get it. So you have to select downloads with more number of hosts so that even if one or two go out you will have some one else and someone will also be comming in. This is what is sharingof P2P

I've tried doing movies this way but the quality is always $hit. I was recommended Bit Torrent instead and although it doesn't give many flash options, the films I've downloaded were quick and perfect dvd quality. Give it a try.

Are trying connecting wired instead of wi-fi if which you could. Some models of PS3 just have issues with some wi-fi networks, and i have received the identical obstacle. Wireless downloads are quite sluggish, at the same time wired ones run at the full velocity of my web connection.
