Fear of plagiarism is over-rated. If anyone starts to profit by it, you can usually find out and start the process to get justice. While it's a pain in the you know what, the resulting publicity can often be better for you than if your poetry went ignored.

Come take a look at some of the sites, which are only a few of many. Don't waste your time at poetry.com whatever you do. It's a scam royal.

But yeah, come over to allpoetry first, and know that all your work will receive the copyright you crave. Just don't wave that copyright in the faces of prospective publishers. They really are not out to "steal" your work, have a little faith. Read up on copyright law in your Poets Market.

Check out Voltage Poetry! It’s a really neat blog that posts kickass poems with epic turns, or points where everything in the poem shifts and becomes something different. They also post accompanying essays that discuss why the turns are so effective. It’s really helpful for analyzing poems and also exposed me to some awesome poetry that’s definitely worth a read.

Structure and Surprise is another great blog that posts articles and essays discussing and analyzing poetry, especially what makes poems surprising and exciting.

Whatever you do, do not go to Poetry.com. It's nothing but a scam; they send you email notices worshipping your poetry and saying how moved they were by its literary elegance...and then say "that's why we want to award you this award, all for blah, blah ninety-five for the cost of shipping, of course!" It'll be amusing to read, if anything.
