Pretty much dude. You only call it aftershave because the alcohol content burns you to hell after a shave, which removes that awful feeling your skin gets for hours otherwise. Don't use too much though.

No. Aftershave is supposed to be a ha-ha skin conditioner for after shaving whereas cologne is for smelling good exclusively. Traditionally all the old aftershaves like Skin-Bracer, Aqua-Velva and the likes were comprised mostly of alcohol, which had naturally "cooling" effect although it usually dried out the skin. Todays after shave products and lotions are much better. You can do what want with them though, as no is no real danger unless you have chick-skin.

Aftershave is primarily used so men's skin doesnt burn after shaving. Cologne is so they smell good. Two different things.

well they say the aftershave conditions newly shaved skin. cologne has alcohol in it and burns when put on after shaving, not so with aftershave, unless it has alcohol in it or a cut, so says men.

No.

Cologne is a perfume made for men
After shave is like a splash for shaving... to refresh the skin! But still smell nice!

You can use one or the other! Depends on how long you like the scent to last and for what purpose!

No cologne lasts longer as after shave evaporates quickly and dissipates .
