A CHI Farouk straightener is the way to go, they are the best flat irons out there and well worth the money. It will last you forever and will make the straightening job much quicker for you. My hair is all the way to my waistline and very thick. I use it and it only takes me about 15 min. With my old cheap straightener it took me almost an hour and even then my hair wasn't very straight. You can find them on eBay for much cheaper than in a retail store.

Straighten it. Straigheners/Flat irons cost $10-30, depending on how good of a one you want, and can be found at any retail-/drugstore. Also, there are certain serums that can straighten hair. The most popular is Frizz-Ease by John Frieda: Straight On. The line offers shampoos and conditions for aprx $6-9.

a CHI flat iron...costs about $100.00. You can get one from Trade Secrets or here on Ebay. Be careful. it gets very hot. And if you leave it on your hair for very long it will burn it. But I use one and it makes my hair so smooth and straight.
