Most shelters are volunteer based. but yes, minors can volunteer. The few 'employees' they have are usually vets or caretakers and are not minors because they are city employees (government employees have to be 18+)

I agree with some, some kids can volunteer but getting a job at the shelter you have to be 18 or over to be qualified for this job.

hi, regrettably, i won't be able to imagine of any animal take care of which will employ a fourteen old. before each little thing, i think the felony operating age is now 16 (even with the undeniable fact that i'd be incorrect, yet it really is the regulation in my section). Secondly, the folk doing those jobs might want to be volunteers and would not be getting paid. To volunteer, you want to be a minimum of eighteen years old (even with the very undeniable actuality that, you'd be allowed in with make certain permission). in case you want to artwork with animals, attempt asking round to make certain if everybody needs someone to observe their pets at the same time as they're on vacation, or walk some canines. sturdy success! :)

Some shelters are family-owned that hire their young ones to work for them. But I'm sure they comply with the regulations.

One of my little sisters volunteers with the humane society. I know they have minors as volunteers, but I don't think they are offered paying jobs.

I wouldn't think so...at least a good animal shelter wouldn't. You should be experinced. Who knows, you may cause accidental harm to the animal!

you can probably volunteer but i don't think you would get paid. I volunteer at one (i'm over 18), but there are a lot of children that volunteer to play with the animals
