I believe it is a western comedy, and I think it was Marlon Brando but I'm not 100% sure.

It is not Cat Ballou or Blazing saddles, Brando plays the part of a Drunk or and mentally handicapped person. he feeds carrots to the horse talks to it and punches it

Is not Cat Ballou or Blazing Saddles and the actor my have been Rod Steiger and not Marlon Brando. I just cought a glimpse of it during a film documentry some time ago on TMC.

I also believe the movie you're thinking of is Cat Ballou, or Blazing Saddles. Lee Marvin plays the role of Kid Shelleen, a drunken gunfighter and it features an equally drunk horse...
Alex Karras played "Mongo" a brute, mental defective that punched out a horse and rode a Texas longhorn steer...

Blazing Saddles was the Comedy Western that used this scene, and the actor was Alex Carras (NFL Lineman Bears, Father on "Webster") as Mongo and was spoof on Lee Marvin in Cat Ballou

It is Cat Baloo. It is not Marlon Brandon it is Lee something. Lee....I can't think of his last name. It has Ann Margaret and some others. Lee Coburn is the man who punches the horse.
