I don't know what you mean about the ego factor. But I have done men and women communication styles one time in one of my college classes. And I have learned that men are more into the facts and figures of things where as women want to nuture and build rapport. Bring more feelings into things. And guys just want stuff straight to the point.

This is just a fact of life for most men & women. The thing is that once they are in relationships there should be a better effort in communicating so things do not get taken in the wrong direction without total understandings on both sides. This should be the case especially in marriages.

i happen to agree with the above also egos and self esteem are major factors if a man has the huge ego and the woman has low self esteem then more than likely she will get very defensive very fast and the man will not give up becasue he thinks he is always right

Men want to feel like they are important to women and women want to be loved. If each gave the other what they are looking for it takes care of a lot of problems.
