Remember to do your research for this question I would suggest Wikipedia, because I would think whoever can demolish Onslaughts armor in a single blow or beat the Fantastic 4 single handed and is also considerd a mascot for Marvel and remember he can survive in space and he regens faster than Wolverine so........?

around 1990, (give or take) Spiderman was given the 'Power Cosmic', which is a power from outer space. It is bestowed upon someone for a short time in order for them to complete a certain task or mission. Once they have received the power they become Captain Universe.
In this case, Spiderman (as Captain Universe) actually beat the Hulk into unconsciousness, if i remember correctly. Of course it should be noted that at that time the Hulk was the grey hulk, a smaller more cunning, but less powerful version of the green hulk.
as far as I know this is the only time the Hulk was beaten in a fist to fist brute strength battle.

In terms of a straight up beatdown? It would be a hardpressed fight for anyone. If you are talking a physical confrontation.... In a blow for blow fight very few could beat the Hulk, but it could theoretically be done. I would lay my money on Thor... i mean he once moved the ENTIRE ISLAND of Manhatten. Juggernaught could probally do it if he build up enough motion.

There are also other ways to beat the Hulk. Many fights don't automatically go to the strongest. Prof. Xavier could probally shut Hulk's mind down with relative ease and many of the cosmic forces could put a hurting on Ol' Green Genes. Beings like Silver Surfer, Pheonix, or even possibly Ghost Rider could give Hulk a run for his money.

Plus Hulk might be the strongest but he is not always the smartest. A tactition like Captain America could probally out plan, out stratigize and out wit the Hulk, using everything and anything available to take him down.

This also depends on which Hulk we use: Savage Green, Smart, Grey, "Joe Fixit", or Planet Hulk version. Depending on which hulk we see will change the outcome of the battles slightly. But again there are Marvel heroes (an villians) who can "beat the Increadible Hulk.

People seem to forget that THOR has Any powers. Fly up 2 miles make a hurricane lift HULK up, blast him with one million 20 billion volts of lightning and carry him to the sun. teleport him to th sun. A God blast can disintegrate a planet...... Hulk... has a mean punch. Ever notice HULK is enraged 1000000x and then Thor comes and does not try to kill him but contain him. Isnt it hard for an adult to contain a 6 year old having a tantrum?

Hulk has defeated Thor, Spidey, the Avengers, and the FF. Doc Strange has banished him in #300...Silver Surfer is the mightiest "hero" in Marvel or DC, but could he defeat a beserk Hulk?....Yes, he could, and he cannot survive indefinately in space, Hulk need air, even if it's a few weeks, Hulk gotta breathe, and the Surfer could plop him out in space and watch him die, if he wanted to. He wouldn't though. So Doctor Strange wins.

The Hulk cannot survive in space without an oxygen supply. Lots of people in the MU could take him down. The Silver Surfer could take him down easy, not to mention lots of other cosmic beings. Doctor Strange would have a decent shot. The Avengers or the Fantastic Four might be able to do it. Juggernaut used to be able to. Cosmic Spidey did it once.

There is a clear answer to this and anyone who has read comics knows the following. In the Infinity Gauntlet series Thanos defeats everyone, including eternity. He was only defeated by a weak plot in which his sister sneaks up and steals his gauntlet. Galactus, Thor, Eternity, and possibly Silver Surfer could beat him as well.

I think Thor could if Thor went I into the "Warriors Maddness" he would automatically become 10xs stronger (or something like that) and take out the Hulk before he himself (the Hulk) augmented his strength by becoming "angry". Without that it's a ling drawn out stalemate.

Galactus. Galactus was a galaxy eating essence that could destroy a planet in less than 5 minutes. If it would destroy Earth, and in extension, all life on Earth, it would kill the Incredible Hulk easily.

Well first of all hulk kicks all kinds of ***

but... hulk is not the posterboy of marvel spiderman is.
and...the first apperance of wolerine was in the incredible hulk, and the fight came out in a draw so they could fight wendigo, but i think the hulk would have one.

Unfortanly there are a few marvel hereos who could lay down the hulk. One is Thor, he is a god, and when hulk tried to pick up thor hammer he couldn't do it. Another is silver surfer, who is probably the most powerful hero in marvel, he is made of pure cosmic power and one of his main enemies is a giant being with nicknames like "the planet devourer". one more I can think of is professer X, unfortantly hulks shaky past leaves his mind susepptable to Xaviars powerful psyonic abilities.

I'm sure there is a few more, but hulk still remains near the top.

One things for sure...Hulk is still the biggest badass in marvel, bar none.

Supes is D.C.
I THINK that Wolverine did beat him. Otherwise, I'd pick Thor, cause he's The Odinson, which is just plain cool. Also, he darn near beat Superman, who himself has trounced the Hulk.
