I have lots of questions. When were planets added to astrological readings? If pluto was only discovered in 1930,when did it start ruling Scorpio?

Scorpio's ruling planet may go back to being Mars, it's original planetary ruler before the discovery of Pluto.

The moon rules Cancer. The moon is not a planet. So you don't have to be a planet to rule a sign. Astrology is very liberal.
