If they get a work permit, yes. What makes them any more special than any other kid? Nothing. If you want to earn a wage file for the permit.

SANTA CLARA, CA...THE CITY OF CHAMPIONS
The players do not want money. They all love the game.
Players do like to see their parents watching them play baseball. Giving them a couple of passes to the game would enable both parents to attend the game without putting a hardship on their finances.
My son was a Pony League and Colt League world champion. At the same time, a Little League team that lost to Taiwan was a few years older.
When the two time world champion team went to high school, the little league players were at a rival high school and the games between the two schools were awesome. The high schools knew this and charged a large admission price to watch the baseball games. Before this, you could watch baseball games for free. I could barely live on my income and this was a burdon on my finances. It would not have been much of an expense for the school to give passes to the games since the school decided to make money off of their fame.

Absolutely they should> ESPN is making a ton of dough. They should share the wealth. Same with college football players. Television uses the athletes to make millions every year. The players should be compensated.

no, beiieve it or not there are a lot of underfunded Little League programs in America. What ever profit that the Litttle League Inc generates from the televised playoffs should be directed back into those programs.

That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. They aren't doing this for a job. They are playing a game a couple of times a week. The article that this question was stolen from is just ridiculous.

It costs the parents alot of money to keep the kids in these leagues. If the league is generating revenue then the kids should at least be able to do it for free. Should they get a salary? no

Nope---if they "should" get paid, then so should I. I have been killing people on the basketball court for the past 20 years and have no money to show for it.

No. It's a training ground. If they work hard and stick with it they will be paid someday.
