I'm thinking about buying this phone unlocked from a third party, not through my carrier, so I'm interested in knowing what Motorola puts on it from the factory. Does it have a plain, old-school "ring-ring" tone included?

By "old-school ring-ring" I mean just that - the same kind of noise phones used to make before there were other options. Just a sort of a rrrrinnnng rrrrinnng, or a simple electronic trill, like an office phone. Something that won't embarrass me if it goes off in a conference room full of Important People. :)

I have one and it has alot of different ringtones that suck. The best thing you can do if your going to get this phone is make your own with the optional cd software.
