My computer has one cd rom drive and one dvd/cd RW drive/burner. Is there a way that I can copy a dvd of home movies as I would make a copy of any other cd?

I answered my own question. None of these answers were correct. Well.. the just plain "yes"'s were correct. Thanks for the detail folks. (eye roll)

The correct answer is that the you only need the dvd burner to copy a dvd. You do not need any other drive. You simply choose the dvd burner drive as both your source and your destination. Once the burning program copies the dvd it will open and you put in a blank dvd and then it will burn to that dvd.

Yes, it is possible!
All you need is a burning software such as Nero, DVDCopy, CloneDVD, etc.

Sometimes your home movies are encryted, so you need to use the software AnyDVD at this website http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

Then you use cloneDVD to burn it!

Only if you are illegally downloading a movie from a website, otherwise you have to buy a dvd recorder.

uh... sorry, but DVD ripping was made illegal in 2004. But you could try to drag it off from the CD drive in my computer. Otherwise, you're out of luck.

If you have a DVD burner you can. You will first need to install AnyDVD so your computer will not recognize the disk security.
