He probably even gave millions of dollars to Osama. Go figure.
And I thought I heard Reagan helped supply Saddam with the poison gas that he used on the Kurds. Maybe we shouldn't be worshiping Reagan after all.

Some of the respondents have asked, "Who's worshipping Reagan?" You gotta be kidding me! When RayGun died, people were praising him like he walked on water. I know lots of people that thought Ronny could do no wrong.

Well, I don't think anyone is worshipping President Reagan. You need to understand the context in which the statement was made. Before the USSR broke up, Russia sought to make satellite states out of all the countries surronding Russia (e.g. Poland and Ukraine). Russia decided to do the same to Afghanistan. The US was concerned about Russia grabbing more and more countries. It was in this setting that the US decided to aid Afghan freedom fighters in their war against Russia. Russia was a super prower so the Afghan freedom fighters used guerrilla tactics. Osama Bin Laden was one of their [freedom fighters] leaders. Sadly, it was the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) which funded and trained the Afghan freedom fighters to use terror tactics. The US was afraid of the spread of Communism, the so-called "Red Terror." Other occasions in which the US interceded includes Vietnam, Korea and even Cuba. As a matter of fact, the US also financially supported Fidel Castro. Surprisingly, currently, the greatest threats to the US are from freedom fighters in which the US trained. The US has no one to blame except themselves [federal government]. Politics changes like the seasons. Oh yeah, there is no credible evidence that President Reagan ever aided Saddam Hussain.

Who's worshipping him.? Recognize a good leader when you see one. He got us through the Cold War.
It was a different time and the circumstances were different. We all have had friends in the past that are more like enemies now. Osama is like that!
I don't know know about the poison gas.
Don't try to demonize Reagan now. You're grasping at straws!

During later stages of the Cold war when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan Osama bin Laden fought along side the Afghan rebels with support from the US. And after spending tons of money and the lost of many Soviet soldiers the Soviet Union left.

Yes it is true that Ronald Reagan called Asama bin Laden a freedom fighter when he was battling the Russians. Now the table has turned and we are the Russians. Go figure!

Our government has switched sides many times when it was to the advantage of the big money crowd.
A personal theory of mine is that Ronald Regan was suffering from Alzheimer's disease while in office. I have not trouble believing the he couldn't remember things about Iran Contra. I wouldn't be surprised if Nancy Regan herself went to the Sr. Bush and told him he'd get their full support as President after Ronney, but that he was to do all in his power to conceal Regan's illness. It wouldn't be the first time that a President covered up an infirmity.

A good question. Funny how you never see the photo of Rumsfeld and Saddam as often as you see the clip of British left-winger George Galloway and Saddam.
Maybe the next edition of Ann Coulter's 'Treason' will have a new chapter about Republicans.

Osama was fighting the cold war for us against the USSR by proxy. Sure, we loved him. Just like we loved Saddam until he stopped taking orders...like we loved Noriega until he was going to snitch acout CIA activities in Latin America. We are reaping what we sowed.

Back during Reagan's era, Osama was fighting the fight in Afghanistan, and so he thought he was a hero. At one point back during that time, when we were at odds with Iran, Iraq was in our corner, too. Ain't it funny how people can turn on you.......

If you watch only one conspiracy documentary ever, make it this one. This just might be the best introductory video out there. Understand that every claim made in this is fact, not opinion, no matter how wild it sounds. It's all easily verifiable through mainstream news archives and public documents.
