Unconditional Love
I will forever remember the day,
when my heart fell in love with you.
You’re beauty with the elegance of your smile,
made me feel, what my heart already knew.
Have I ever told you my dear?
How much I miss you, every time you leave the room
and when you put the phone down,
to help our kids, get ready for school.
If a man could be in two places, I’d be with you
tomorrow and today, beside you all the way.
You are my inspiration for all that I do,
and for the reason, why I love you.
I think of the times, I would feel sad, cause we had a little fight
but even then, my heart would tell me
It doesn’t matter, who was wrong or who was right.
There is no another woman, on this planet earth,
that could possibly change, the way I feel about you.
I also thank god for every minute we share,
and for the day, your mother gave you birth.
So I just wanted, to let you know,
that I’m grateful to heavens above.
For sending me you,
my unconditional love.

Yeah I know someone like that. She and her fiance kinda grew up together. When she was 8 or 9 and he was around 18, he went off to college out of state and they ended up not seeing each other again until about 10-12 years later when he got in a bad accident. She always felt a close connection with him so she went 160 miles to see him at least once a week, sometimes two days or even the whole week to help take care of him. Even if there were bad weather conditions, nothing stopped her from going to see him. She's been doing this now for 3 years and in throughout that time, they've fallen in love with each other and he asked her to marry him. (she said yes of course) I know he loves her unconditionally too because he's done a lot of stuff for her that he won't do for anyone else.
Oh, and I loved your poem. Every part of it sounds just like those two, well all except for the kids part. lol But hopefully that will be in their future. =)

That was a beautiful poem and I am familiar with that feeling but I just don't believe anymore. I know I can give it but getting it back is the problem.
