If you are not married to a US citizen, and do not have family living in the US who can sponsor you, you must apply for permission at the nearest US embassy or consulate in the country where you live.
Every year the US government grants the right to become a US citizen to about 50,000 foreigners in a lottery-style arrangement. You can apply to become part of the lottery. There are also private companies that can help you.
If your application is accepted, the US government will do a background check on you to make sure you are not a criminal or harmful to the US.
If you pass the background check, you will be given permission to live and work in the US. Once that happens, you can apply to become a citizen after about 5 years; in that time, you must be gainfully employed and not commit any serious crimes.
There are probably a number of websites that can give you more information.
Good luck with your project!

not really believe there is any world outside the USA
yell loudly at people who cant speak English because you know secretly they can speak English
If you want to become a Republican American, forget all that pesky science and believe that evolution doesn't exist.
In history forget how America was beaten badly in the 1812 war and that the USA refused to fight the Nazis
