According to the International Movie Database there will not be a Shaun of the Dead 2.

What is it, the story of a bunch of dead guys? All but one of the zombies were killed or imprisoned and it would likely blow anyway. The first one was pretty funny in my opinion, but sequels are rarely as good as the original, especially since there isn't a great place to pick up from like Shaun of the Dead.

I'm pretty sure they're not doing another Shaun film ( i though it was great tho), although they are working on a cop film, Hot Buzz I think, but thats not due out for a long time.....
What they really need to do is Space, series 3!!!!

To be fair, 28 Days/Weeks Later are not exactly zombie films -- the hosts are still alive. Still like them, though. I think, much like me, he likes both but would like to see zombies that move according to how the human body actually decomposes. If the zombie mythology does not include any working respiratory system the zombie should experience rigor mortis, so they should be hindered and eventually stopped between 3 and 72 hours after death, after which rigor mortis has ceased, and their movement will only be inhibited by their decomposition. Newer zombies can move faster than older, weaker ones.

From the other answers it looks like never :( but the first was amazing and would be hard to top so its probably best to leave it alone and not ruin the legacy of it by making a half decent sequel and just make a new film.

one of the best movies in the world. i never laughed so much while watching a movie. best part- the whole dancing/ fighting with the pool sticks to Queen. God I hope there IS a second, but with the looks of these answers, there may never be one.
