You can get a seat belt extension. However, I gather that you are not flying ecomomy as the 'larger' sets in ecomony don't have any extra width. As others have suggested, call TCD and ask if the width is greater in the seat you are flying. Also, you could ask if the armrests go up so that if you were travelling with a smaller person, you could take up a little bit of width from their seat without having to pay for two seats (which may happen).

I am size 14/16, just over 14 stone with big hips. So, I am not being rude, I just know that it can be a tight fit for me and wouldn't want you to be forced (as that is what they can do) to pay for two seats if you don't have to. Ask as much as you can in advance.

Hope this helps and have a great time in Florida.

Unfortunately, I am a large woman as well. I have flown on US Air in coach when I was as big as a size 20 or 22 and the seat belt fit. Granted, it was a tight fit, and I was sitting next to my two small children. I would suggest an ailse seat. That way you have a little more wiggle room.

Ask them if they have extentions for seatbelts. It's like an extra buckle that extends to tie you down.

you should probably call the airline and double check. it would suck if you got there and for some reason they didn't get you fly because the seatbelt didn't fit

good luck!

You can ask for a belt extension if it is needed.
