We have been married 16 years and don't have a lot of money. We usually do dinner and a movie, and then spend time together at home. But I was looking for a fresh new idea. Anyone?

Honestly,16 yrs is a hell lot of a time and so congrats on ur successful marriage.Neway one good idea wud be to perhaps visit the same place where you spent one of your best moments back in the past and then go over all that happened during these 16 yrs and then depending on whether this will make your day unromantic or not you can have a session wherein you confess something you always wanted to but never did!!!

I have a few ideas........Try going on a picnic instead of out to dinner. Surprize him with breakfast in bed. Get a cheap hotel room and enjoy yourselves for the weekend alone together. Invite all of your family and friend and have a big potluck BBQ type party, this way all of your loved ones can celebrate with you. Stay in bed all day, and turn off your phones and don't answer the door (and dont forget to drop the kids off somewhere if you have any).
That is all I can think of for now..I have been married for almost 12 years now, and I understand how thing can dull sometimes. Hope you have a wonderful anniversary, and there is many more to come for you.

What would I want my wife to do? hmmmmm....
Tell him you have a surprise for him... get dressed to the 9's.... something sexy. Tell him to get dressed in something nice and meet you at a bar for a drink. Let him know that you are dressed sexy and will be waiting for him.
This will make him intrigued and excited, maybe even a little jealous until he gets there. Already off to a good start!!
When he gets there, flirt with him and tell him you have another surprise… this will kill him!
Get a drink or two into him and then catch a cab to a gentlemen’s club. Remember… the club is just a show. Its really not that big of a deal, but going there is!
Have a couple of drinks and then drag him home! I’ll be surprised if you make it!

Time to do a slide show with funny presentation of your life together the last 16 years...Life has a way of having us forget, all the humorous times, your sad times which built the strong ties in your relationship, the birth of kids and the life you built together are just reminders of the small things we forget through out the years, (your first home, his first car) that ugly bathing suit you bought...those stupid pants he wore.....add trivia questions in the slide show...Do you remember what color my shirt was when we meet?.....(this is fun...try this too, see if he can come up with a list of questions as well). This is great.....when you just had that dinner....THIS IS THE MOVIE. - its called your life.
Don't forget his old Cologne..."Brut" or yours..."jovan musk".Have a wonderful evening.........(dont forget the sexy wear for the end of the show!)

Wow 16 years, congratulations!
Why not try something different like a trip to your local swingers club. I bet that will kick it up a notch.
Flowers and dinner out is good too.

How about a picnic in the park?
If you have a little $ you could see if there are any hotel or bed & breakfast specials going on and spend the night together.

My wife took me to Hooters for our anniversary, needless to say we had a wonderful time when we got home:)
