Well there are known knowns, unknown knowns, unknown unknowns and a pile of bull sh_t. The last one is the best decription of him. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

As far as what I think of Rumsfeld, I would have to say I am mixed. You definitely don't want a pansy in his position, but I have heard he has been inflexible when he should have been flexible. I have also heard he likes to be in control and if you even appear to challenge him there will be consequences. In any case I am not there and cannot say for sure.
What I do know is if you want to win in Iraq it doesn't seem like we are adapting our tactics, but keep doing the same dumb crap. Is this just Rumfeld, probably not. I'm sure there are many culprits, one of the biggest has been wasting all our money on corporate hand outs instead of hiring as many low paying positions as possible which would spread out the money and gain us favor. Rumfeld is obviously not in charge of this.
I do not know how much influence he has but there needs to be more troops in theatre, especially along the boarder and in Baghdad. There needs to be pressure pressure pressure against the insurgents. It seems all we do is sit there and get blasted to pieces and every once in a great while have an operation we're going to kick your butt. And sure they kick a little butt but compared to the constant attacks on our troops, the government, civilians and infrastructure, it is just not enough.
We need not be afraid of an all out fight. If we do not do something we might as well go home because like in chess if you only play defense you eventually lose.
