Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and Rudolph Giulliani are all in the "don't have a chance" category.
If any of them win the nomination the other side wins the election.
Kerry and Clinton are too liberal. Giulliani is too moderate for the Republican party, despite his tough line on crime.
Edwards would have a chance if he could get a solid conservative running mate to offset his left of moderate positions, but since the "neo-liberalism" revolution in the Democratic party they drove them all off.
Lieberman is too liberal to get the nod. Besides, northeast liberals have been poison for the Democrats and they won't repeat it.
Senators usually lose the Presidency... Kennedy was the last one to win. So look at governors (current and ex) for your next presidential candidates.

John Edwards and Warner both have an inside edge in my book... both moderate democrats from the south... I think they could give McCain and Guiliani a run in the south, especially since many consider them to be liberal...
Frist has the inside edge for the Repubs... just because everyone else is "too liberal" for many Republicans... and Mit is a mormon
ts: what are you... 15? it's like more than 2 years away and you're narrowing it down to that already? watch and learn... this must be your first primary...
birdsnakecat... bush spent BILLIONS in Iraq, yet our grandchildren will be burdened by a $25 million dollar judgement? Do any of you people know what you're actually talking about?
please, do go look it up... apparently $25 million is more than a billions... I was unaware

First you mention the likes of Hillary and Kerry - and then you add, "that is, someone who actually has a chance." I can't imagine who these two clowns could run against and actually have a chance.
McCain and Lieberman sound like good, solid candidates. Joe Lieberman, especially. He strikes me as a man of great integrity and honesty - he's not one who tailors his speeches to what the people might want to hear, but rather to what he feels is the truth. What a refreshing change that would be from a politician!

I'm hoping that people see the value of a Russ Feingold presidency, and what it would mean to the nation, and subsequently to the entire world. He's a hard-working, decent, Progressive Liberal who, unlike other Liberals, DOES NOT mince words, or spout what he THINKS people want to hear! He's his own man, much to the dismay of Neo-Cons and Liberals alike, and I'd love to see his candidacy result in an election to the presidency in 2008! GO RUSS!!

If anyone considers John Edwards, check out how he obtained his millions and millions of dollars. It is kind of a funny sick story.
But every person is America is paying for the money he made. Our grandchildren will be paying for John Edward's money for their whole lives. HE NAILED THE USA.
