To kill a Mockingbird. It tackles so many sensative issues and you can relate to scout so easily as she tells the story

Nonfiction-The Purpose Driven Life
This book was so inspiring and motivating. A must read.
Fiction-
The Jester (James Patterson) this is not a typical Patterson novel. It's set in the times of the Crusades. Some parts are a little gory but it's not boring at all. A man's wife is kidnapped and he becomes a jester in order to infilitrate castles and reclaim his wife.
Where the Heart Is ( Billie Letts) Great book Great writing. About a young girl who's pregnant and her boyfriend leaves her at Wal-Mart.
Lord Foul's Bane-(Stephen Donaldson) Great fantasy novel. I really enjoyed this book more that the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I didn't have to sit through the Council of Elrond in Lord Foul's Bane. There's also rumors that this is going to be a movie.
The Harry Potter Series-- Need I say more they get better with each novel.
Suzanne's Diary to Nicholas (James Patterson) Another Patterson novel off of his typical crime genre. A beautiful love story. It's not cheesy or smutty. It's beautifully written.
I could go on and on but it's getting late. Happy Reading!!

i cant pick one but i really like the clique series. nancy drew is really good too. the face on the milk carton is the begnning of a sequel. A gift of Magic and the third eye were written by the same author and are both AWESOME! A little freaky, but still great. All of these are realistic fiction except for a gift of magic and the third eye. it is fantasy. Fantasy usually isn't that good but this is not that type. i would say more, but i don't want to give away the story! I hope this helps!

The Sound and the Fury by Faulkner. That book is amazing. You REALLY get inside the heads of the characters it is written through. And the ending is awesome.

Stephen King's "Firestarter." I absolutely love that book. It was the first book of his that I read and I can still remember the endorphin rush after I finished it.

I like Go Ask Alice because it really is written very well and greatly shows the horrors of dsrug abuse. I loved it and the main character. you really felt like you went through everything she did.
