generally, sudden changes in your habits - change in food patterns, too much dieting, irregular meals, stress etc can cause large gaps between your periods.
If your periods are generally regular - one of the above could be the reason
Cysts are pretty common as well (not always serious) which can cause irregular periods.
take better care of yoruself for another month and then perhaps see a doctor. I hadn't got my periods for a year - i was stressed and having eating problems - the doctor prescribed hormonal pills (a week's dose) and i was fine - gained a lot of weight though..:)

well, iam the same way, I once didnt have one for 9 months. some girls just dont have a normal flow. most likely nothing is wrong with you. but to be safe go to a doctor and have him/her check it out, maybe run some tests.
