i think it's an instant connection/feeling that u KNOW u will always be friends w/ someone. u will always care for that person, and u just know they will do the same for you. more than just "get along"... u understand eachother~

Kindred spirits are two or more people who have something in common. Two guys get dumped on the same day and meet in a bar later. They start talking and they are kindred spirits.

Wow. My grandpa and I were kindred spirits. Spirits of like mind, that think alike, act alike, have the same love, zest for life. Ahhh...I love that...phrase-Kindred Spirits.
