I'm sure they existed and were murdered by the mosliums shortly after they were captured. The jewish family proably received a financial settlement to keep their mouths shut. There is nothing more cherished than the all mighty $$$$ to a jew.
There could never be an end to the conflict if they continued to insist on the return of their captive soliders, that were decapitated, castrated and humilated in death by a pack of angry emotionally and mentally disturbed moslium children. One has to remember that age does not make an adult.

The reports say that they are still alive, and Israel is willing to fight for them as long as it can.
Your comment about the money was very nasty and inappropriate. No sane man will ever give up his child for money.
Besides, I think that your way of thinking is wrong when you come to look at Israel. The soldiers of the Israeli army are all children (18-21) and it is not their job, or something, it is a duty.
Doing what you suggested and giving up the kidnapped soldiers would be a huge slap in the parents' and other soldiers' faces. It doesn't work that way, and Israel will HAVE to get them back. Two years ago Israel had released many murderers from the Israeli prison in order to get back its kidnapped soldiers' corpses.
