Generally downloading porn sites and some other sites of a similar nature result in viruses infecting the computer. Why does this happen whereas with other sites such infections do not generally occur. Why are some sites so susceptible to viral infections more than the general (say, non-porn)sites?

porn is the most common thing searched for on all of the search engines out there... since hackers know this, they put their viruses in the places where they know will get the most hits

Its not so much the sites. Its not like the sites are infected, the sites are meant to put spyware and adware (not viruses) on your computer. Because when you go to a porn site, u usualy agree to things, and say "yes" or "OK" to a bunch of dialog boxes. This allows the malicious programs to get installed. The fact that its porn, just helps them attract people.

It's because the people that put these virus' on these websites know that there are alot of perverts in this country that look at porn, so they put it on there because it will do the most damage. Not to mention the people that are against porn so they think it will stop people from visiting these sites. Just a thought.

Those viral infections include excessive pop-ups of adult content, correct? That's probably because of the webmasters of the porn sites. Unless you have a really good anti-virus program.

Becasue the people that make these viral infections dont like people looking at porn and they know people HAVE to look at them

Because people who put viruses out there know a lot of people download porn. maybe instead of risking your PC, you should just buy porn mags or movies.
