being a 1989 I would suggest to my customers to use 10w30. Brand not important. If it was newer I would only run synthetic in it.

I am by no means mechanically inclined, which is why I suggest you check out www.autozone.com. I was able to get brake pad installation instructions for my brother there, so if I can do it, you can do it. Good luck. :)
