I know of a few occasions when guys have been intimidated by girls who went to better schools, got jobs at the coveted companies, made more money, and accomplished more outside of work. But, I can't recall girls ever being intimidated by the accomplishments of guys. When girls met a successful and accomplished guy they reacted with interest.

here's what i think... :)

men and women have distinct gender roles; men are Breadwinners, Decision makers, Head of the Household. women are Caretakers, Support, Nurturer.

there's been a change, however; more and more single mothers and divorces have skewed the roles. now, women have to start becoming the Breadwinner, Decision maker, Head of Household..and STILL take care of her stuff!!! but there has not been to big of a shift for Men to take on caretaker, nurturing roles. =T also, men are just not very Emotional or Sensitive anyways...it takes a whole lotta work and help and pushing from the woman to help him Understand emotions.

therefore, a woman can understand and appreciate a man's hard work, good job, good school...but a man doesn't really appreciate a woman's sensitivity, emotions, support......

this is why i think women actually have to be "stronger" than men... but not in an equal fashion, but in terms of their own Gender Roles. a woman's roles are just Harder to learn, harder to understand..... a man's roles (getting a job, making money, going to a good school) is very doable, especially for modern women of this day.

i think if more men took charge of their roles, did what they did for the good of their future and family, were trustworthy and committed and faithful and put in the effort to have a good relationship with family and friends and girlfriends, more women would take care of the family and do their job, and there would be less divorce and single parenting!
