Congratulations for stop smoking
I quit after smoking for 50 years. It took about 3 months for me to notice a difference in lungs. That was five years ago and I now feel better than I did 45 years ago.

They are probably full of the crap you have been putting in there for 10 years.
When you smoke, you kill the cells that clean out the lungs. They will come back, and you will start to get rid of the junk.
I don't know of anything that will help that process along. Maybe a vaporizer?
Congrats on quitting. You'll never know what horrible disease you're preventing, but you are doing the right thing. Well done!

Oh boy... I remember this. I never coughed so much in all my life as when I QUIT smoking.
Try Robitussin... but keep in mind that what's happening here is that healthy tissue and cilia are restoring themselves and for a while at least, your lungs may be hyperresponsive to everything. Speak to your physician if you really have difficulty and a chest x-ray will assure you both that there's no further problem.
It took almost a year for me... but well worth it... because now I have better lung capacity than I'd had for two decades :)
(Of course now I'm fat, so I huff and puff on the stairs - lol)
I'm proud of you for quitting though... it's not easy and I'm glad you made that decision for yourself :)

A huge bong hit. LOL
Well, maybe an inhaler or you could go for a breathing treatment. I know it's common for that to happen. Seems like your lungs would feel cleaner, doesn't it? I've heard people hack and cough the worst after they quit smoking. Good luck!

Try exercising. At first it will be hard, but you'll find that after a while your lung capacity will improve.

Cough. Seriously, go for walks. At least 20min. a day. Then increase to 40min. And while you are walking, breathe deeply and exhale completely.
