How do you keep from getting cats on your lot? The neighbors cat keeps poopin on my lawn and scratchin our new pickup. We got a fake snake and put it in our garage but that didn't help. We told the city and they set a few traps but didnt catch anything..It is becoming a real problem...I love animals but am about ready to shoot this one...if was only legal i would..any ideas?

save your pee and pour it in your yard. gross, but it scares the cats away.

Ask your neighbors to keep it indoors
Spray it with a hose - Cats don't like water
Call the humane society to pick it up - maybe the owners that are so irresposibly letting it wander the neighborhood would get the hint

Many hardware stores sell a device which uses sound waves (UHF) to keep animals away from your yard. Get one for the front and one for the back yard, plug it into your outdoor electrical outlet. Set it, forget it, have a good night's sleep.

Put feed them but put the food elsewhere. like your neighbors house.lol. no, seriously you might encourage the cat to hang out some where else.
Or you can just call animal control.

Put orange peel along your boundry line. Cat's hate it.
Throw cat food over on your neighbors yard.

a small bowl of milk with about 10 to 15 drops of tabasco and/or 1/4 teaspoon horseradish works very well. works on rodents too..

Chase the cat. Douse it with a cup of water if it doesn't run. Eventually it'll get the idea. Maybe.

Try talking to your neighbors if you ahven't already. They can't fix a problem they don't know about. If they do nothing, call the police or animal control.

Buy a small dog and train him to stay around your house. A dog will chase any small mammal away.
