What do you make of it? I do believe in certain psychic abilities and I am a big fan of Sylvia Browne, but this lady I work with has been driving me nuts with these "visions" or "feelings" that she keeps getting about me...

By now, I think she just does it to piss me off because I keep telling her that I don't want to hear about it. Crazy lady...

Yes I went home with a Psychic once. Before we fell asleep, she predicted that we would be together forever and that we were soulmates. I was gone before she woke up.

It's all bull. Psychics talk in generalities and fish for information. The funniest thing is that the so-called 'communication' with the dead person is coming in very fuzzy during the phase when they can be proven right or wrong but it changes into full sentences when it's something general (e.g. "I'm seeing a woman Agnes, Ann, Alice ... and she seems to be saying something about flames, fire, warmth, fire ...". Then, when the relative asks how they're doing, the psychic says "They told me they're doing well, they love you, and don't feel guilty"). With respect to Sylvia Brown - she's no different. In fact, she agreed to go and take James Randi's simple and fair test for proving psychic ability (1 million dollar prize) but ... she never showed up! Here's the link: http://www.randi.org/sylvia/index.html

You can choose to believe this lady or not.... Or you can just keep in mind what she's telling you and wait and see. (But don't try to make her predictions fit where it doesn't.)

As for claims.... Everyone has those abilities. Most just haven't developed them. Be careful of someone trying to push like she is. She may be seeking her own self-validation through you.

One last comment about the lady.... You might suggest she learn a little psychic etiquette. She shouldn't offer info. if it's not asked for or VERY IMPORTANT.

There are many folks with talents that do not seem to be inherent in the majority. There are healers and profits, those who get visions, those who hear voices.. throughout history as well as current times. There are also charlitans who will take your money. I happen to have a gift in the healing realm, and have never accepted money for this. I do it for very selfish reasons since being an empath I cannot hardly stand to be around those in pain.

If she is driving you "nuts" then ask what she wants from you.... does she want money? Is she interested in you on another level? If she is wanting your friendship then you could tell her you would rather not be warned of things to come, that you want life and its lessons to progress in the natural order of things.

You could tell her you are becoming a follower of the Tao (that is pronounced dow) and that you do not need her views of what the future holds for you.

You might also ask her how it benefits her to give you these insights, or if she is in fact hitting on you in which case you are flattered but not particularly interested..(unless of course you are)

If she says she feels it is her duty or responsiblity then I would say to her, it is your responsibility as a co-worker/friend etc to honor my wishes to not hear your feelings/predictions as they delay me from life's lessons and distract me from my true path.

I know a guy who lives down the street from me who claims to be psychic. We dicovered he's a compulsive liar. Some times he can guess what I'm thinking but that's when anyone can guess. Like after something really strange happens or after my mother tells me something troubling. This guy will tell people anything to make him look "cool". Most of it's actually amusing to I let him tell me anything and laugh inside.

I have a female client in her 30's with the remarkable ability to "read" events from my past that I thought no one knew. I respectfully asked that although I respected her ability I simply did not want to know about any impressions or visions she had of me. She was fine with that and I suspect your co-worker would be too.
