Care to offer your definition of "blind faith" compared to "faith?"?

For this purpose, the definitions of 'faith' and 'blind faith' are:

faith - 1. confidence or trust in a person or thing, 2. belief not based on proof, 3. the obligation of fidelity (faithful)

blind faith - belief without true understanding, perception or discrimination


When we step into an airplane and wait for take off we are having faith that the plane will take off successfully and get us to our destination safely, understanding how planes work. A toddler who quietly follows his parents onto the plane and sits down has a blind faith in his parents' leadership, not understanding what is happening, but trusting that his/her parents know what they are doing.

Faith: Believing in something. I have faith that we will win.
Blind faith: believing in something that there is no concept to. Life after death.

I suppose you could make the distinction in faith in someone or something you can see, as opposed to faith in God whom you cannot see.
I think they are the same.
The Bible says "we walk by faith, NOT by sight"
2nd Chorinthians 5:7
So I don't see the difference between fatih and blind faith, but some might.

" Blind Faith" is believing something and not having any idea why. For example....a child who was raised from infancy to be afraid of going to hell and God is your savior without being told why to believe it and yet they believe it....
" Faith" has some facts to back it up...Like you read the bible and decide that you believed in god all by yourself because of what you read about....
