"Montgomery's Glands was named for William F. Montgomery, an Irish obstetrician, [1797 - 1859] which are small prominences around the nipple of the breast that enlarge during pregnancy and lactation. The area around the nipple where the Montgomery's Glands are present is called the areola."

"It is quite possible that the bumps around your nipples that you are describing are mammary glands, which naturally appear on the areola (the circular pigmented area that surrounds the actual nipple) and look like small pimple-like bumps. The purpose of these glands is to help women deliver milk to babies when they are breastfeeding. In addition, the nipple is surrounded by hair follicles, and hair can be found around the outside of the areola. The amount of actual hair varies from woman to woman, usually begins to grow around puberty, and increases as you grow. This is a completely normal occurrence and is not a medical problem."

If they are on the aereola, the pink circle around your nipple, they are perfectly natural and all women have them. Hormones often make them appear different from time to time. If the bumps are in the flesh of your breasts and have not always been there then its best to get a dr to check them. It still doesnt mean they are anything to worry about. Usually, a suspect lump would be just one on its own. Sounds more like its just milk ducts.

I assume beauty bumps because I like them.
You are referring to the (aleola; (sp) I can't find it in the dictionary either). Your dark spot around the Nipple.:) NICE, fun to trace my finger around.
Otherwise we're talking about goose bumps.
:)) yes Braille bumps ;)
PS: I have them too! 66M.
Someone check Grey's anatomy.
Oh look ! a specialist ,real pro,see how much help, didn't even correct the spelling and it's not aereola JUST poking fun
Errol??? this gets better. DNM is not in my dictionary. I think he's an herbalist.

Go to the doctor if you have any sudden changes, discharge, itching, burning, etc.

Otherwise, you are probably normal.
We all have some little bumps there.
