I can't remember the name of this weird movie I watched a few years ago. It has this writer that has things that he wrote about happen to him in real life. In one scene, he and a woman drive at night, she passes out and wakes up in a town that is in his book. Something like that. And everything is weird in this town. There are monsters too.

There was a blah comedy starring John Candy called "Delirious" that had that plot, but this maybe sounds a little weirder.
