I am assuming that you are using Internet Explorer. In your browser select Tools -> Internet Options. Click on Clear History.
When that has finished click on Delete Files - be sure to check the box to delete all offline content. When that is done click on Delete Cookies. These steps will clear out the things an average user would look at. If you are running Win XP you might also want to do this: Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore. Click on the System Restore Settings link and turn the system restore off and then back on. This will clear out the restore points so that the system cannot be restored beyond the current time and restore the history you just deleted. If you do this make sure to right click on the System Restore Icon that will appear on the Start menu (as a recently used program) and select remove from this list. I hope it was a surprise for her and not a no-no on your part, but that should help.. Good Luck!
