10 dollars an hour is awesome... it probably is a bit much but that rocks for babysitting..

Get serious, $10 is a lot of money. That is better then you will make at a regular job.

Minimum wage +.50 is great for a 16 year old.

I would love to babysit for people that paid $10 an hour.

Seems a little high to me.. but what do I know. I'm 38 and I made $1.00 an hour when I was your age. Someone at work told me that 18 year old make about $12 so I'm guess 8-9 would be fair.

Fair to who? You or the parents who have to pay you?

I'm an 18 year old college student. The most I can turn is $8 an hour, before taxes. Do you not know the value of money, or are you bragging?

Ten dollars an hour is alot for babysitting. I made only 6-8 dollars when I babysat. Don't complain you have a great deal for playing barbies and trucks and changing a diaper twice a day.

Yes.

I have a BA in English and can't get a job for more than $8/hour, so I would say $10/hour under the table for someone without a GED is more than fair.

I've paid babysitters between $5-$8 per hour to watch my daughter in the past (she's 5 now). If you found someone who can afford $10/hour you are doing great.

I think that's a bit much, I'm paying $8.00 per hour. For a 3 year old. Or if there are weekly rates you can maybe give a better deal.

That's a little high, but depends on how many children you're watching.

If you're watching just one kid who's 4+ years old, then you're overpaid. Check minimum wage for your state (it's 6.75/hour here in California).

If you're watching two kids, or an infant, $10/hour is reasonable.
