It depends on the numbers....for example if it is four plus negative five the answer will be negative one...depending on the larger number.....if the larger number is positive than the answer will be positive...if the larger number is negative than the answer will also be negative

First, subtract the 2 numbers. If there are more positive numbers than turn the number into a positive. If there are more negative numbers than turn the number into a negative.

if you mean -1 + 1 as in even negatives and positives it equals zero. always. otherwise it depends which number is bigger.
