Yes, but how much (i.e., how expensive) a collector's item it is depends greatly on the condition of the LP and its cover. If it was autographed by JFK, it would be worth a lot more.

Yes, but not nearly as much as a record of FDR's declaration of war against Japan on December 8th, 1941. Hang onto that disk, it will only go UP in value.

Anything which is original and is a record of history is certainly a collectors item.

Yeah. . it most likely is. . however. . . if you have a record of JFK butt banging marilyn monroe while three sectret service guys cheered him on and then joined in . . . well. . . there is a real collectors item.
