I'm pleasantly surprised by your answers. So far 100% of us say that you can. There are people who would disagree, including a TV and radio host with an Irish last name. Thanks for your input!

Absolutely.

The troops are not choosing to be sent over there. They are choosing to serve and support their country.

That has nothing to do with the political decisions being made about where they get deployed.

Yes, why not. Political leaders are the ones who send them to war, we elect the leaders to do our bidding(hopefully).

They do not always do as everyone wishes.... that would be impossible.

I'm sure you have heard the old saying:

You can please all of the people some of the time;

you can please some of the people all of the time;

but you cannot please all of the people all of the time.

It is the people that are pleased all of the time that are most dangerous to our freedom. Those are the ones who aren't seeing and who don't have an opinion of their own.

I am for the war in Iraq, but I am against the way it is being fought, yet I support the troops 100%. They are there for me and you.... I served my time at a time when support for the troops was low. I don't want that for the troops fighting now.

As long as you know your reasons for being against the war and can truly say they are valid after some real thought, have at it. But demonstrations against the war here only encourage the Islamo-fascists to continue. Demonstrations were the reason the Vietnam War continued long after 1968 when the NVA were soundly beaten.... when the demonstrations hit full stride, the north figured if they could just hold out without surrendering, no matter how many lives were lost, they would reach their goal in the end. Individual life is not important to communists or Islamo-fascists, their goal and their ideology take all the seats, individuals are lucky to hang on to the bumper.

Being against the war but supporting the troops is something like opposing the Mafia but supporting the hit men. After all our military is a volunteer force and anyone with a brain and any kind of moral conscience can see how it is being misused for the personal gain of a few and against the long term best interests of the United States.

Well, of course! The troops can't help where they are sent or why. We have to support them doing what they are told, even if we don't agree with the war. They can't help that the President is a DUMB A S S greedy Moron!

Absolutely. I am completely against the war in Iraq, but yet I am very supportive of my husband who is serving over there.

Sure, all people are against war I would think, but we have a choice. We can continue to fight in their back yard or ours. We as americans prefer to keep our hands clean and fight our battles over-seas. Support our Troops? YES! They are helping to keep us free.

Can someone be against murder but still support the police? I think the answer in both cases is the same.

Yes...you are supporting the men that are following the orders, not the ones giving them.
