I called my stockbroker first thing this morning and sold all my stock in Pluto. Then I put for sale the Hotel I had on the kaper side, but I am still planning to keep my shady acres I own in the South.
I've found this all to be a deep and personal loss to me, but I'll rebuild somehow.

It's happened before. Centuries ago there was supposed to be a planet between Mercury and the sun called Vulcan. It was "seen" during a solar eclipse. For the next few eclipses all the astronomers looked for Vulcan and eventually decided that Vulcan must have been a comet. Now Pluto has gone the same way - more of a cometary nucleus than a planet.

What it does mean is that Pluto can now move away from Disney and appear in a star Trek series. Pluto can now become a star in it's own right - it's a great career move.

The inane questions and some of the answers indicate that people in general have got little concept of the physical nature of the Solar System. Most people would have known practically nothing about Pluto, except that it shared its name with a Disney cartoon character.

So, why is everybody so upset. It's really a joke.

It aint a planet. If it remained a planet, we would have to start calling hundreds, perhaps thousands of other objects planets, as they are discovered in the outer regions of the planetary system.

For goodness sake grow up everybody. You're so dammed juvenile.

Ha, I know. I wonder who woke up one morning and decided to change it? Now everything children are learning is wrong, I'll always think that Pluto is a planet. It has been for as long as I've been on this Earth. Whoever changed it is a LOSER. Poor Pluto.

I really don't give a ****. Pluto doesn't affect me in my life at all, and whether we consider it to be a planet or not, it will continue to exist in space. Couldn't care less.

It is right for us to classify thigs the way to . you can call it planetlet just like piglet. we can also rename the celestial bodies just by interchanging their name too. Call planets stars and stars planets if we are so pleased.
