Thje amusement is basically for the readers of the answers. The admin people seem a bit preppy.

I think your initial reason for doing it is to amuse yourself. In doing so, you also hope for the amusement of others, but I'm pretty sure that's just an added bonus. You'll still be equally amused even if others aren't.
