I am 29 weeks pregnant also, and have been diagnoised with gestional diabetes. I am not on any medication myself. I do have to test my blood sugar 4 times a day. After a while, those little pricks start to hurt. The worse part is when you stick your finger, and for some reason a lot of blood doesn't come out. The only thing that I can tell you is stay away for juices especially orange juice, that will cause a spike in sugar when you take the test. You can't really make it a less threat after the baby comes. Just train yourself to eat right and drink lots of water or seltzer. I didn't even know that I had diabetes until I took the sugar test and my results came back 243. A normal reading is 120. Diabetes runs on my fathers side of the family. I have been keeping check since saturday. When my doctor looked at my numbers yesterday, he said that i had a sensitivity to sugar. For fasting periods it should be no more than 90 or 99 I think. For breakfast/lunch/dinner it should be no more than 120. Just watch what you eat also. Look at the sugar content on the back of the packages. Be careful of fruit also. Fruit has natural sugar as well. I remind myself that I have to be careful for my son. If I have diabetes then he has diabetes. If you need to talk feel free to email me. Remember, take care of yourself. Everything will be ok

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Why so rude about the pictures people??? It is a beautiful pregnant belly. It is a tiny baby's foot print on the side. Sheesh.
Gestational diabetes....avoid sugar, only eat limited fruit and limited juice. Try to avoid starchy food like potato's and pasta.
Breastfeed your baby. There is study after study that says that breastfed babies have a lower chance of getting type 2 diabetes. Feed you child a healthy diet from the start :-)

I don't think gestational diabetes will have an effect on your baby getting it as an adult. Only if it runs in your family. I like your avatar too. Take care of yourself, and good luck.
