Maybe because they are just ignorant and they just maybe want you to feel bad just to make them feel better.

sometimes people don't listen...because that are inconsiderate and ME centered. They only care about what involves them and forget everyone else around them. Listening skills in a person is a gift that not every one possesses.
There is no excuse for rudeness...no matter if what the person is saying doesn't interest you.

Some people think that they are better than you and don't think you have anything interesting to say because their stuck in their own snobby world. The next time that person talks to you treat them the same way they treated you. I treat people the way I want to be treated myself.... but I also treat people the way they treat me. I would never talk down to anyone unless they talk down to me. My boss did that to me once and I did the same back to him and he yelled at me for it, so I told him If you talk to me like Im a piece of crap expect the same, he's been pleasant ever since

Because some people have no class. Or if you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they don't hear you the first time. One of my friends has hearing issues.

Bad upbringing. They failed to learn the golden rule, do unto others as you'd have them do unto you. Unfortunately, our society is turning into a 'screw you' world. If they don't listen to you, don't waste your time trying to talk to them. Just make sure that you aren't trying to give unwanted advice.

because the believe the world revolves around them and their main purpose in life is to make sure everyone knows that. Ignore them completely and act as if they don't exist...they might come around, if not don't bother with them...they're not worthy enough to converse with.
