Here is an old Norwegian receipe -- If you have a juicer.
Cut one med size onion, 4 buds of fresh garlic, put through the juicer. Take juice and add 2 tablespoons melted honey, stir then 1/4 tsp nutmeg. Store in glass covered jar in fridge. Shake before using. Take a couple of tablespoons every 3 to 4 hrs. This should knock the h_____ out of your cold an flu. It is better to take at the onset of cough, but will still work at any time. " little hint' Give your mate some, other wise the garlic will drive them away.

You could try an essential oil blend of peppermint, eucalyptus and tea tree. Mix equal amounts of each and rub over your chest twice a day. If your skin is sensitive, you can dilute the oils with unscented massage oil or olive oil. If you don't want to put it on your chest (date, work, or whatever), you could also apply them to the bottom of your feet. Essential oils applied to the feet reach every organ in the body in 20 minutes. (cool, huh?)
