Ok, like you, I HATE cleaning my room when it is absolutely horrible. HOWEVER, you know how much friends appreciate a clean room at their friends house? A WHOLE LOT.

Ok, to continue...What I NORMALLY due when starting a horribly messy room is: Start by taking a trash bag into the room with you. Pick up EVERY single thing that is trash. Empty the trash can and make sure you get all the cups/dishes taken down stairs with all the trash in the bag (remember to replace trash can liners too) Ok,then you take EVERYTHING on the floor and is supposed to be in your room. EVEYTHING that shouldn't be on the floor (So, what Im saying is don't move furniture into the middle of the room...just clothing, toys, jewerly, shoes, books, magazines...anything that doesn't belong on the floor or chairs too for that matter....check dressers for junk that isn't supposed to be there and also check chairs and your bed)
Then, once you've made this GINORMOUS pile, you sit on the floor right in front of the pile. Make sure the pile is not in the doorway. Then start with something you see. If it's a dirty peice of clothing, than throw that in it's own pile in front of your bedroom door. Make that the "dirty clothes" pile. Keep finding every peice of clothing that *needs* washed in the huge pile and transfering it to the "dirty clothes" pile in front of your door. Once you've weeded through the entire huge pile for all the dirty clothes you can find, get up and take all the dirty clothes that were in the doorway and do a load of laundry. Make sure they all fit. Then, while they are washing, so back to the huge pile and sort through all the clean clothes. Hang all your clean clothes or put them in the dresser drawers. once all the clothes are out of the picture, you can then start finding things of the same nature (find all the peices of jewerly in the pile, for example, and put the matches together and then put them away...continue doing this for every type of items in the pile). Continue weeding out all the things in the pile and DO NOT HESITATE to THROW something away that is not used or needed and you have to question youself about. If you say to yourself, "Do I really want this?"...then it means NO, you do not need it. Don't get sentimental over the little things...that's what makes your room get messy. Anyways, finally, dust all the furniture and then make your bed. Run the vacuum and light two candles. Don't forget to blow them out! Make sure the pictures or anything in the room and hung and nicely hanging and dusted! This is how I do it every time! GO FOR IT!!!

Okay, first of all, you should WANT a clean inviornment.

1. Take any junk off your bed.
2. Make Bed
3. Clean off any big visible pieces of trash off the ground.
4. Clear off any other spaces. (Desk, Nightstand, etc)
5. Throw away any trash.
6. Take out trash
7. Put laundry in clothes hamper
8. Do laundry (if you haven't done your own)
9. Sweep under, around, all that good stuff!
10. Dust everywhere!
11. Straighten up everything

That should be all! Hope you can see your floor soon!

Ok, professional cleaners do it like this:
They begin at the top of the room (like top of drapes, etc.) and clean their way down. That way, whatever dust settles during cleaning ends up on the carpet and is vacuumed up last.
Now: Divide your room up into 3 sections - top, middle, bottom.
Do the top. Take a break and give yourself a treat. 15 MINUTES.
Now start on the middle. Same thing.
When you finish the bottom of the room go out and bring someone in and let them see if they can find any spots you missed.
If it looks good to them, you're done!

Okay, a clean room is so important when having someone over. It shows that you take care of yourself and you're not a slob. I had a friend growing up who never cleaned her room. Each time I would walk in there, there were layers upon layers of dirty clothes, books and garbage. It was so disgusting I wanted to puke! To me, it looked like she didn't care about her appearance and eventually we stopped hanging out.

I always clean my room with this pattern - floor, corners, dresser, etc. I pick up anything on the floor and put it where it should be. Then I vaccuum, then I clean up the dresser and my desk and bookshelf and make sure it looks neat.

We cannot tell you the order to clean your room as we cannot see what your room looks like...just get off your butt and clean unless you like dust and dirt all over the place. You need to get into the habit of keeping your room clean as when you become an adult you will have to keep your house clean unless you want roommates (rodents and bugs)

Just put on some music (or whatever you like) and start cleaning the sooner you get it done you wont have to dread it anymore!

I hate cleaning my room too. To help me out to at least get started I put on my fav. radio station or cd. Music makes everything fun and it goes a lot faster. Then I pick up all the crap I have on my floor and put it where its supposed to go. Make my bed, make the top of my dresser look nicer and then I'm done. Hope that works for you.

Ok you can start by if there is anything on your bedroom floor then you need to pick then up and put then in their correct places, then tidy up your dresser if it is untidy, then dust down anything that need to be dusted, spread your bed, also pick up all the clothes off the floor if there is any, sweep or vacuum out your room. ok that should be it now.
