The water passes a U shaped pipe as soon as it is flushed. Once water (+ your unrine!) goes above the hiighest point of this U shaped tunnel, the water overflows on to the other side and down the drain/pipe....keeping the water level same in the bowl.
But hey ! one day....after all that unrinating... You will ofcourse have to clean up your pit one day if all waste is sent into a pit! lol....but hey that'll be like in ages.....
But for now.....you can pee away! :)

Because it overflows down the waste pipe art the rear of the toilet bowl!
Thus it can never get any higher - unless of course you have a blocked waste pipe!!!!!! Oh dear :-(

It's all in the level of the U bend! Whatever you put in the toilet, the water is displaced after the second turn of the U, so the water level reamins the same, even after flushing. Unless it's blocked, then it overflows and covers you bathroom floor in poo.

Tiny little dragons live in it, and drink the excess water. Or what everyone else said about the U bend. Believe what you like, I know the truth.

Try shoving a roll of toilet paper down there, wedged in the u bend. THEN pull the flush.

It is designed that way. The outlet is bent and is at a certain level which causes water to rise no higher than that level unless it is clogged.

the U bend acts as a syphon, it also acts as a water trap to prevent smells coming from the sewer.
it is best to picture it as an S on its side
